Before working with Lisa, I was often embarrassed to go out and do things due to my weight.  I didn’t feel attractive my in clothes, I felt like I would be judged for being certain places, and mostly I was constantly exhausted and uncomfortable due to how much I was eating.

I had tried diets, pills, boot camp classes, 30-day juice cleanses(!) – none of it worked, mostly because I wasn’t addressing the real issue I had, which was binge eating.  Lisa was able to concentrate on my overeating issues while also giving me the tools to eat healthier and get in more physical activity.

While working with Lisa, I started to become very excited about my hypnosis processes.  In fact, it very quickly became my favorite part of the day.  The processes were personalized, helpful, and effective, but I think what stands out most about them is that they were so positive.  Lisa addressed my issues, things that I needed to change about myself, but she always made sure that I knew my worth.  Being able to take the personalized sessions home with me has been so helpful, and now I have them forever!

I also learned different ways to deal with stress, anxiety, and guilt by using EFT, which has become a daily routine for me.  Besides the hypnosis and EFT, Lisa also provided me with invaluable nutrition tools: shopping lists, recipes, and information on healthy supplemental foods such as flax seeds.  I first started noticing differences when I realized that I wasn’t trying to not overeat.  It just became something that I was no longer interested in, which is amazing considering I’ve been a binge eater my entire life. My friends also noticed and commented that I was ordering less food when eating out and leaving food on my plate—I never used to do that!

Since working with Lisa, I have dropped 3 pants sizes in about 2 months (during the holidays!).  I also have started exercising 5 days a week and actually look forward to getting up and working up a sweat.  Most importantly though, I have control over what I eat.  It is an amazing feeling to not be scared every time you eat, knowing that you’re not going to feel guilty or sick.

A benefit that I didn’t anticipate is just the overwhelming feeling of happiness I have.  I can live my life normally.  I eat pretty well now, by choice, but when I don’t, I’m fine with it.  It’s so incredibly nice to not feel guilty about every little thing in my life.  When I eat pizza, I feel just as good about myself as if I had eaten a salad – mainly because I know life is about balance and also because I’m not bingeing, and that is the most important thing.  I’ve also branched out and started doing things I would have been scared or embarrassed to do.  Trying out new places, meeting new people, doing physical activity in public – these are all things I refused to do before meeting Lisa.

I would recommend Lisa for just about any internal issue someone could have.  Being able to change my own eating habits that I’ve had for 25 years in a matter of months is incredible, and honestly something that I thought would never happen for me.  If you think you’ve tried everything, if nothing has ever worked, if you’ve given up and accepted defeat – try Lisa.  I wish that Lisa hadn’t been my last resort, just because I could’ve addressed my issues so much sooner.  Also, I was a little nervous to start hypnosis, thinking that maybe it wouldn’t work for me, but I felt incredibly comfortable as soon as I walked in.  Lisa is really great at making you feel at ease and also at explaining everything that is going to happen so you can understand it and get the most of it.

Before working with Lisa I was about 20 pounds overweight and struggling to get motivated to do anything about it. Everything I had tried in the past only worked temporarily. I didn’t have the money to pay for a personal trainer the rest of my life, nor did I want to be “dieting” the rest of my life. Even though I was getting desperate to lose the weight that never seemed to go anywhere, every change seemed like a huge hurdle. I had tried just about everything! From meal delivery services to personal trainers…everything was so expensive and would only work temporarily. My 2 biggest problems were: 1. I did not enjoy exercise and 2. I felt my connection with food was very emotional. When I didn’t have the hand-holding, my will power just wasn’t strong enough to keep me on the right track. When I had my free consultation with Lisa and signed up to work with her, I was hopeful, but also very worried that this program would be just like every other thing I tried–temporary. I also didn’t buy in to the whole hypnosis thing initially, but I felt like my options were pretty limited and was willing to try just about anything.

But after the first couple of sessions, I began to not only see some physical changes in me, but I FELT them as well. I slowly felt my relationship with food changing, and it no longer became a game of will power. We worked on different techniques to decrease cravings and allow me to emotionally disconnect from the food in front of me. She gave me ideas of things I could use for exercise that fit in to my busy schedule, were inexpensive, AND, most importantly, fun! Also, I thought Lisa was crazy when she said we could have 30 minute sessions over the phone on the off weeks. How was that going to do anything? Well…it did. Creating new action commitments, retraining my brain to think differently, thinking about different things I could do and techniques to use when I get into unique situations, etc…those were all things we were able to do over the phone. Lisa also has a background in nutrition and was able to share some really easy and delicious recipes that my family even loved!

I completed my 3-month program with Lisa about a month ago, and have waited to submit this testimonial because I wanted to make certain it wasn’t a fluke. In the past, this is about the time I would start falling off track, and I wanted to be certain her coaching and program is not like the others that failed me. I’m happy to say I have continued making changes since my sessions ended. I have gone from a size 8 to a 2-4 and currently weigh 120. I’m very pleased to say, with Lisa’s help, I TRULY have overcome my mental and emotional blocks with food and exercise. I am able to use the techniques she taught me, and I still listen to the hypnosis discs and session recordings. This was not a 3 month program for me…this is a lifetime, permanent change and I love it!

Before I started working with Lisa, I had been overweight for several years and felt uncomfortable, self-conscious and unhealthy. I had tried all of the usual methods you see and ready about (Weight Watchers, Body for Life, South Beach) with only short-term success. Nothing I tried was lasting. I was watching the news one evening when a segment on Lisa aired where she was helping one of the news anchors quit and grew curious. Like many people, I had been struggling with weight issues for most of my life. I loved eating and severely lacked self-control and discipline when it came to any diet I would try. I had come to realize that food was an escape for me.

One more thought…I had been consumed with thoughts about “needing ” to lose weight. NOW, I am still heavier than my ideal, but I no longer “worry” or feel anxious or defeated. I was overweight for at least 6 years. I felt like I was walking in molasses. I was sluggish and it was hard to do the things I wanted to. I tried to lose weight with diet pills and everything else, but nothing helped me. My next step would have been gastric bypass, but I didn’t want to go that route. I decided to try hypnosis. I figured I had nothing to lose. I noticed a change in my behaviors immediately after my first hypnosis session. I didn’t buy the foods I used to—candy, ice cream, and cake. But from the first hypnosis session all that stopped. I began to eat normally. This has been super easy! I just don’t want to eat junk anymore. I don’t eat between meals. I feel in control now. I’ve lost 35 pounds, my blood sugar has gone down over 100 points, my cholesterol and blood pressure have also decreased. Everything has improved! Lisa has been so great and I really appreciate her help!

I am 65 years old and have been overweight since my college days. I have tried lots of diets and twice have lost 50 pounds–only to put it all back on. I decided to try hypnosis after my cardiologist suggested surgery; I didn’t want to have to resort to surgery. I started with Lisa October 2006 with a goal of losing 65 lbs. by Christmas 2007. Although I was skeptical at first, I was determined to make this work.

At first, I wasn’t sure if/how the hypnosis was working for me even though I was eating differently and trying some of the new things Lisa suggested. Now I find it’s really started to stick in my subconscious. So far I have lost 35 lbs., and am still going strong. My cholesterol has dropped like a rock, and my PCP is telling me that he may start to take me off some of my medications. I can already feel the change in my subconscious mind, and know that when the weight is gone, this time it will stay gone. Changing the way you think is the only way to go–and Lisa has been great!

I have struggled with weight loss issues for many years, as well as trying to change my lifestyle to a healthier one, and MAINTAIN it. Lisa recently worked with me on this, and I have been very pleased with the results so far. First, she talked with me and asked questions in order to learn more about what I consider important for myself, and what my problem areas are, then did a hypnosis session geared to those answers. She made a hypnosis CD specifically for my needs, which I listen to frequently for reinforcement, especially if I feel tempted to slip back to old habits. It is very relaxing and keeps me focused. I considered myself addicted to chocolate and diet soda, but I have totally eliminated them from my life, and am comfortable with that.

In addition to hypnosis, she has a great deal of knowledge regarding nutrition, supplements, relaxation techniques, etc. She shared that knowledge with me, as well as teaching me other techniques for dealing with temptation and cravings. I have been very pleased with my progress, especially because it doesn’t feel like I am fighting myself all the time. A major key to success is attitude, and her program has helped me develop a positive attitude. I also know that Lisa is always available to me any time I might feel the need for more reinforcement. Before coming to Lisa, I had been ill and house-bound, gaining weight and craving sweets. My medications kept me lethargic and I was very depressed. I was this way for 3 years. It even hurt to try to exercise.

I tried some weight loss programs like NutriSystem (I gained 10 lbs.), Slim Fast (gained 5#), and Weight Watchers (I lost 15 lbs. but gained back 20 once I started eating regular meals again).

With Lisa there were no diets, just simple suggestions for healthier food choices. We talked about what I wanted and what I needed. In hypnosis, Lisa constantly spoke my name and how I wanted to see myself; how I wanted to eat. I could relate to everything spoken to me.
